iChemistry updates and announcements 2024-10-05

On Saturday the 5th of October 2024, we will update iChemistry with minor feature and stability improvements, alongside the following more significant changes explained here below.

New look in Risk assessment

Navigate to Tools > Risk assessment

Edit 2024-10-02: Note! Due to the late discovery of some technical issues with the new functionality, it will take additional time before we launch the new design for the risk assessment list. It will be available for you within a few weeks.

We are excited to announce the latest updates to our risk assessment module, designed with a fresh look that makes it easier than ever to filter, search, and organize your information. While maintaining the same powerful functionality, we've introduced enhancements that streamline your workflow, making risk management more intuitive and efficient.

Now, all the details for one department are consolidated in one easy-to-navigate list. Here are the key highlights of the update:

  • Four new tabs: Clearly differentiate risk assessments with tabs showing which are signed, which are incomplete or need attention, and which have been archived.
  • Red indicators: Important areas that still require action are now highlighted with red indicators, ensuring nothing is overlooked.
  • Enhanced filters and sorting: You can now filter and sort by various criteria such as risk sources or activity names, making it easier to find exactly what you need.
  • Visibility of general risk assessments: Easily identify general risk assessments and see where in the organizational tree they’ve been inherited from.

In addition, the updated design aligns perfectly with the rest of our system, providing a seamless and familiar user experience.

We hope these updates help you manage your risk assessments with greater ease and efficiency.

Print your product reports to pdf!

Navigate to Reports

We’ve heard your feedback about the need to not only export reports to Excel but also print clean, professional-looking PDFs.

With our upcoming release, you’ll now be able to do this effortlessly using the new Print button, which will be available on all reports.

We’re also introducing a new feature: Column Settings, which lets you customize your printed reports by excluding any unnecessary columns, ensuring you get a neat, streamlined printout every time.

Traffic Lights Intersolia – new classifications

The traffic light feature helps users of iChemistry to quickly see an estimate of how hazardous a chemical product is, by marking all them with a red, yellow or green status. A red or yellow status clearly shows that you need to view the handling instructions before using, and handle with great care. It can prevent unnecessary exposure and potential accidents.

Last year, the EU introduced 8 new classifications for endocrine-disrupting and persistent substances, giving suppliers a few years to update their SDSs in line with these regulations. Although many SDSs have not yet been updated, we’ve added these new classifications to the criteria for our Traffic Lights function in Intersolia.
From now on, substances that fall under these new classifications will be marked with a yellow light, helping you notice these products more and take necessary preventive action.

If you don't currently have the Traffic Light function and would like to learn more about it, please contact your account manager or our customer support at support@intersolia.com.

Application flex – new column for Last modified

Navigate to Tools > Applications (add-on feature)

We can announce a small but requested improvement for our customers using Application Flex.

In the “In Progress” tab, you will now see a new column showing the date when an application review was last changed and saved. This feature allows you to easily track when you or another team member last worked on a review, making it easier to manage applications that are still under consideration.

New restriction list – Estonian OEL

For Estonian systems - Navigate to Overview > Restriction and prohibition lists

As a standard feature for all Estonian systems, we are adding a new restriction list that shows the Occupational Exposure Limits (OEL) specific to Estonia. This restriction list will be visible in the Overview, and additionally trigger a warning in the risk assessment when you create risk assessments for products listed in the OEL.

New restriction list for Danish system – Wastewater

This is an add-on list available for the Danish market.

We are now offering a new set of restriction lists for the Danish market: A-substances (wastewater) and B-substances (wastewater). With these lists, you can track which substances you use that are restricted in wastewater under Danish legislation.

For access to the list, please contact your account manager or reach out to support@intersolia.com.
