iChemistry updates and announcements

On Saturday the 22nd of March 2025, we will update iChemistry with minor feature and stability improvements, alongside the following more significant changes explained here below.

New UI design

We're excited to introduce more updates to the iChemistry UI design! Here's what's new:

  • A redesigned look for information boxes across the system— This is visible in, for example, Overview, iSafe, Departments, etc. Wherever there are information boxes..
  • In the risk assessments summary for “Handling instructions” we have enhanced the page to include spacing between titles and descriptions, aligning them at the top and introducing borders for better visual separation. This will also improve the appearance of the printed page

UFI code in safety sheets

Navigate to Product > Safety sheet

To improve the visibility of UFI codes in safety sheets, we’ve made them more prominent by displaying them directly under the product name. The UFI code will continue to be available in the “Identification of the substance/mixture of the company/undertaking” section for easy reference.

For activity safety sheets, where multiple products may be included in the risk assessment, UFI codes for all products will now be displayed at the bottom of the safety sheet, ensuring that the information is easily accessible and clearly organized.

Open Access: Department location for activity and WPI

Navigate to Open access > Activity or WPI

To view the location of the product’s activity or the WPI, we’ve introduced a new tooltip. By clicking on the (i) icon, you can access information about where the product is located within the department tree.

Application flex – The header in review will display general data and status

Add on, no change in permissions
Navigate to Tools > Applications

We’re making improvements to the application review process, making key information more accessible at a glance. On the review page, you’ll now see the applicant’s name, the application date, and the department from which the application was submitted. A new badge will also appear, indicating the result as either “Approved” or “Rejected".

Risk assessment: Authorities permit to be triggered for REACH Annex XIV

Navigate to Risk assessment > Authorities permit

To further assist you in the risk assessment, we have now updated the system so that Authority Permits are triggered for products listed in Annex XIV. By referencing Annex XIV, we ensure that the business complies with the legal requirements for particularly hazardous substances. This allows a risk assessment that takes Annex XIV into account to help ensure that the necessary measures are taken to manage the risks correctly.

iChemistry app update v 3.4.0

Navigate to Tools > Applications > Select Application > Activity Log

Applies to iChemistry available for Android and iOS

Here’s what’s new:

  • On the login page, users can click on "Reset Password" to view a pop-up guide explaining how to reset their password. Alternatively, users can contact support directly. If they choose to contact support, they’ll be directed to a page to fill in the necessary details for First Line Support to assist with the reset.
  • On the login page, users will find a "?" next to the CustomerID field. This will provide instructions on how to obtain the CustomerID from their admin or allow them to contact suppor. If they choose to contact support, they’ll be directed to a page to request the CustomerID from First Line Support.
  • The app now fully supports the Greek language on both Android and iOS devices.
  • Annual Consumption and Stock Count Sections in iSafe sections have been updated to display only the first 3 records for Stock and Consumption. Users can click Show More to view the complete list of records across all departments where the product is in use.
