On Saturday the 15th of June 2024, we will update iChemistry with minor feature and stability improvements, alongside the following more significant changes explained here below.
Application flex – choose a department responsible
The Application flex module is now even more flexible! Previously, you always had the same template for the entire organization, so that the same person(s) are responsible for all the reviews. But now, you will be able to choose different individuals responsible for different departments! So, if someone submits an application for a product for a specific department, an email will be sent only to the person responsible for that specific department. Please contact our customer service support@intersolia.com if you want to learn more and update your template, and we are happy to assist you!
AI videos and multilanguage tooltips
Navigate to Helpcenter
We continue to develop support features to assist you in different places of iChemistry.
We have launched a new way to guide you through our most common functions in iChemistry with our new AI videos, now available in the Help Center! When you open a video, you can choose to either just watch the instructions or click through the steps yourself with the help of a guiding voice and text. Try the three different options "Show Me," "Try Me," and "Test Me" to see what works best for your learning!
We are also adding tooltips in various places around iChemistry, and these are now available in more languages, such as Finnish and Norwegian .
Permissions
Navigate to Settings > Permissions > Groups
We have listened to your feedback regarding some users preferring a more streamlined system, where only the features that are actually used are visible. Therefore, we have added more permission settings so that those who do not have read or write access to certain features will not see those buttons at all. This makes it easier for both experienced and novice users to navigate and find what they need directly in iChemistry.
Exposure register for Swedish market
This new optional feature helps you comply with the requirements for exposure registers according to Swedish legislation AFS 2022:4 §41 and its general advice on application. There are specific requirements for working with products according to 2011:19 §38, which include, among other things, carcinogenic, mutagenic, and reproductive toxic chemical products.

Adaptations of three restriction lists
We have adjusted three restriction lists in connection with new legal requirements
- The list Endocrine disruptors is now called Endocrine disruptors (ED) / Potential ED. It matches both CAS/EC numbers from several official sources including ECHA, and the new classifications for endocrine disrupting and potentially endocrine disrupting substances since 2023: EUH380, EUH381, EUH430, EUH431.

- The PBT / vPvB list is now called Persistent substances (PBT, vPvB, PMT, vPvM). This list now also considers the new classifications, so it matches both CAS/EC numbers from, among others, ECHA's PBT assessment list, but also the following hazard indications: EUH440, EUH441, EUH450, EUH451.

Please note that this is an add-on list. Contact your account manager if you are interested in getting the list.
- The Danish list Kræftfremkaldende stoffer is now called Kræftfremkaldende, mutagene eller reproduktionstoksiske stoffer after an adjustment of the law, and now includes, in addition to CAS and EC numbers, hazard statements for carcinogenic, mutagenic, and reprotoxic substances.
