Now it is time to take the next step. Use the material you have prepared outside the system and log in to iChemistry, perhaps for the very first time.

Three steps – and why the order matters

Three things need to be in place: users, organizational structure, and products. The order is not random – the structure determines where the products end up, and without a first user, no one can access the system to create anything at all.

Step 1
Create your first user
Quick, via the welcome email.
Step 2
Build or change the organizational structure
Manage departments and managers in the system.
Step 3
Enter the products in the right departments
Goes smoothly if steps 1 and 2 have been done properly.

Step 1: Create your first user

Once the system is ready, we will send a welcome email with a link to the page for creating your first user.

!Important
The first user becomes your admin and can create additional users, build the organizational structure, and manage the system. Choose someone who will be involved in the chemical management work long-term.

Additional users are created via Settings > Permissions > Users > Create user. Whoever is going to sign risk assessments (usually the responsible manager) needs their own account.

Step 2: Build or change your organizational structure

Manage the organizational structure and your departments: via Settings > General > Organization (see also the article “Manage departments in the organization tree”). Add managers per department via Settings > General > Department information > Contacts and responsibilities.

Step 3: Enter the products in the right department

Did you submit an Excel file?
The products are already entered
Log in and check that everything is in the right place – you can easily move products if something has ended up wrong.
Are you entering the products yourselves?
Search and add manually
Select the correct department in the organizational tree, go to the inventory module, and add products one by one, or search our global database.

Search for products via Tools > Inventory > Add. Search by the trade name from SDS section 1, in the Global products tab. If that gives no results, try the supplier's article number.

If the product is not in the database: click Request and you will order it from our SDS department.

TTip
If you have many products to request – gather them in a list and send everything to sds@cs-environment.com at once, with as many safety data sheets attached as possible.
✓ You now have your products in the system
Your products are in the right departments, your users are in place, and the structure reflects your organization. Intersolia now takes over and keeps your safety data sheets updated on an ongoing basis – follow status via the Overview (see the article “Status SDS update”).

Are you an existing customer taking the work back over?

If the structure and users are already in place, you do not need to redo these steps:

  • New department or location → step 2
  • New employees → step 1
  • New products → step 3
