I need an account or more permissions in iChemistry
Accounts and permissions in iChemistry are managed by your own company, not by Intersolia. Anyone with the System admin permission group at your company can create users, change permissions and correct email addresses.
You need a new account
Contact your company's iChemistry admin. If you don't know who that is, ask your manager or whoever is responsible for chemicals, for example your environment or HSEQ coordinator.
Once your account has been created, you get an email with a temporary password. Log in through your company's own login link and choose a new password.
Your company signs in with SSO
If you sign in with your company account (Single Sign-On), nobody needs to create a user for you in advance. You sign in through your company's login link with the same account you use for your computer. If you can't get in, contact your IT department.
You can log in but are missing permissions
What you can do depends on two things:
- Permission group. This sets which features you have. A user in the Inventory group, for example, can read and do inventory but can't manage risk assessments. See Our standard groups for user permissions.
- Read and write rights per department. You can have write rights in one department and only read rights in another.
If you used to be able to do something and now can't, your permissions have probably been changed. Ask your admin to check your permission group and which departments you have write rights in.
You're an admin and want to add a colleague
Go to Settings > Permissions > Users > Create user. The step-by-step guide is in Create a new user. There you choose the permission group and which departments your colleague can read and edit.
Some customers, for example those using iChemistry through an industry association, can't create users themselves. In that case, email support@intersolia.com with the person's name, email address and the permissions they need.
Why can't support just sort it out?
For security reasons, Intersolia doesn't change your users. Your company decides who gets access to your data. If you can't find an admin at your company, email support@intersolia.com with your company name and your name and we'll help you find the right person.
