Please note that this is an add on feature.

Food processing is a feature that can be helpful when handling chemical products in the same context as food or food-related items. This can be e.g. lubricants in equipment to coating in packaging. You can mark a department as "Food grade department" and products with food-processing categories. The user then specifies the type of contact and area of use. (This module helps companies that aim to achieve ISO 22000 requirements).

Ta mark a department as "Food grade department", click on the department men then go to Settings > Department info. What happens when you choose to tick checkbox for "Food grade department" and Save is the following:

  • The department will then be shown with the icon of a glass and fork in the department tree.

  • An additional mandatory task in the risk assessment of food processing must be completed for risk assessments in this department.
  • The safety sheet is given a new section with additional information about "Food processing"

Add symbols and information on products

Products can now be marked with food processing symbols. Go to iSafe > Edit for a product, to add a symbol.

Under basic product information it is now possible to categorize their product according to NFS standard.

These categories will be visible in iSafe with symbols and the category information.

Based on your selected categories, icons will appear under Properties in iSafe:

Risk assessment with Food processing safety

Once the department has been classified as a "Food grade department", there will be an additional mandatory task in the risk assessment. See the last step of the risk assessment.

Activity safety sheet

When the risk assessment have been signed the activity safety sheet will show a new section with the category information.
