Q: What is an Exposure Scenario?

A: An exposure scenario describes the conditions under which a substance may be used so that the risks are controlled throughout the substance life cycle. Exposure scenario can be in the format of an annex or as content in the safety data sheet (SDS). If you are downstream users and use hazardous substances registered under REACH or use PBT/vPVB substances and their volumes exceed 10 tones / year, your suppliers should provide you with an expanded safety data sheet (SDS) with exposure scenarios.
